New look for new year :)

It's been a long time I had not changed the template of my blog. I started looking for a nice template and a background theme. Wanted a quote which would say what I want and picture like how want to pose :);

It' been a long time that I had not listened to music in office. Finally, I made up some time and open the site In.com which had the collection on old and new songs.

Tujhse Naraz nahi Zindage from Masoom was listed as song of the day. After a very long time I listened to this song.

I love watching the cookery shows. It's one of my favorite pass time; thought we don't like cooking all but love scribbling them in a diary which we love to preserve it for years.

Last week, I got to know that Sanjeev Kapoor is starting a 24*7 cookery channel in the coming year and I'm really excited about how it's going to be. Though, we girls love watching cookery shows but not for the whole day.


I wish his channel name was "Khana Khazana" but Zee TV has already started a channel by name Zee Khana Khazana. . I'm really eager to watch the programs it’s going to telecast

Cooking Speer........... hurray!!!

Many of us stayed glued to our TV set on weekend afternoon to watch the cookery shows noting down the recipes and I'm one of those. Earlier in my school  and college days, I used to watch the Khana Khazana show on Zee tv and used to try out many reciepes.

In college days, very often I used to prepare fried rice and the carrot halwa, which my friends used to love. It's been many days that I haven't tried out a new recipe but now I'm again in that spree and trying out different things. I wanted to start with my mom's favourite 'Samosa'. 

I had browsed a couple of websites and checked the ingredients for it. After going home, I checked for the required ingredients and prepared the required stuffing and the dough.
Finally, filled the stuffing and fried it in low flame.. and hot yummy samosa was ready to serve. I didn't prepare and green chutney or tamarind syrup; instead we had samosa with tomato ketchup :))

Though I'm not a great cook, It had come out good and was tasting yummy.  I'm planning to prepare it during our family get together ;) ..Hope everyone will like it.

Enjoying Bakarwadi...

Today morning, my friend got my two packs of bakarwadi. I already ate some 5 pieces and I'm loving it. I  shared it with few of my close colleague so, that I don't get stomach pain he he hehe. After eating, when they tried to take one more piece I just screamed and they ran away.. :)


You know where he got it from, "MK Ahmed stores"in JP nagar .. same shop is also there nearby to my home and I didn't even know that we get it there.. :)

Mouth watering bakarwadi..

I had completely forgot about my favorite snack - Spicy, tangy, fried roll - Bakarwadi. You're asking how do I remembered it?

Today, my sister mailed me and asked where do we get Bakarwadi? This word just echoed in my ears' and my mouth started watering :) he he he..

First, thing I did after listeing to this word was to google the recipe..I want to try preparing it one day :) hopefully!!

I was just recalling when did I first tasted this? Some 10 year back when my cousin had visted his pune office and his Boss had got this to him saying;  It's very famous here. You will like it.  I dont know whether he liked it or not. I just loved it.

Now I'm searcing for the stores which sells bakarwadi same as the one which I tasted first time..?

I got up on saturday morning with a heavy heart...feeling something was missing..I went to my Mom and just hugged her tight. She asked me what was wrong. I didn't say anything to her. Just hugged her tight..

All my tension, my fear of losing went away ..Really felt relaxed. Realised  that; what magic this Hugg has ...:)

Cold Breeze.......

It's evening 6.30.. I'm still in office working. I had gone out for a walk alone. Though it was for just 15 min i felt really relaxed and i was the best time of the day.

The cold brezee was touching my face. I felt as if it was saying me don't worry, time will help u to make you to taken decisions.

Currenlty, too many confusion,too many thoughts, many decisions to make. Finding it really hard. :(

Feeling like going for a walk again all alone; just to feel the cold breeze..

My B'day.....

I had not planned anything for my birthday. Just wanted to enjoy the day as it comes. Frankly, whatever I plan will go for a toss so, there  was no hard core plans for this year b’day. Actually speaking, I wanted my sister and friend's to do the planning for me. And luckily it turned out that way.

After reaching office many of my colleagues wished me without even getting the birthday reminder mail. It was little surprise for me. Lunch time: One of my friend had come down to our building and we planned to go out for lunch. As I like Mc Donald's they all had decided we will go there. But I wanted to go to ivy and later we decided to go there only. Pinged all my friends at that moment and decided to go.


Our girl-talks meaning 'gossiping' started when we got into car. One more surprise one the way was; one of my friend who had earlier told he won’t join us for lunch had called up saying he will join us. Actually he was scared looking at the girl's gang. Later somehow he made up his mind and joined us.


Having lunch with all of them was real fun. They all made my day. After the main course, I told one of my friend that I wanted to have chocolate pastry for the dessert.
We are all sitting n chit chatting pulling each other leg's. Meanwhile, I saw a guy holding a black forest pastry; coming towards our table. He actually came and placed it in front of me. I said WOW!! Stunned looking at that as it was my favorite.
 They placed the candles over the cake. I blowed the 3 candles and did the cake cutting. After making everyone to taste the pastry, finally I tasted it. Yummy!!!

My friend's started asking me my 3 wishes for this year as i blowed 3 candles. at that moment, i couldn't list 3 as there are lot of things i want to do this year.
It was just a Wonderful moment!!!

Even while I’m writing this post; I feel the taste of that yummy pastry.

Shopping for my birthday dress!!

I had gone shopping over the weekend to find a perfect dress for my birthday. To find the right one, the absolutely best fit, is like finding a needle in the haystack. I started with 'W' and BIBA but they absolutely didn’t had anything.

And then the treasure hunt began. Went through all the brands on the list. I didn’t have any specific type in mind. Well frankly there were a few criteria, like the color, the pattern, the fit, and obviously they have to have to look good. But everyone has these priorities, right? Well if they don’t they should.

I tried like a 10 dresses, took a few energy boosters. Later, we went to another street where we get the best salwars. And finally, ended up in Taruni. I decided that this is going to be last stop and I’m not going to check anywhere else; and visited a shop. I tried a few dresses but nothing matched the dress what I had in my imagination.


Later I told my sister that, it’s ok; I will not take any salwar and will wear that new top with jeans on my bday. After trying few dresses i just didn't wanted to stay there; I just came out of the shop. After coming out of the stores, I just stood infront of the shop and checked the materials on the idols.

I just love the one which was pinkish lavender color. My sisters said don’t rush and buy something which u don’t like. I just stood there a thought for a while. Told her that I liked that pink one if he can get it stitched it in a day I will buy and asked the sales person to show that material which was on that idol. . I just loved that material and felt the perfect one for my bday; bought that and gave it for stitching.


The real pain was in going there on Monday and collecting the dress as my bday was on Tuesday and I wanted that at any cost. Monday was real hectic day in office so; I had to forget of going about collecting that dress and wearing it on my b’day. I spoke to my friend and we discussed all the possible ways of going and collecting. After long hours of discussion, decided to go by auto and collect the dress.

All through the way, I was tensed how it might have come; as I was getting it stitched from that tailor for the first time. Finally, reached the destination at 9.00 P.M and tried out the dress. It was just tooo perfect and I loved it!!!

Finally i got it. One of the best dress i ever owned.

Today is my brother's birthday and me and my sister are planning for a surprise party. It's always fun planning for a surprise party for your loved one. I have invited some of his close friends, ordered his favourite cake and a surprise gift also. Hope it turns out to be a good surprise for him today.

I wish him all the happiness on this world --'Happy Birthday Bro' but you know it's true that really 'Happy Every Day' is what it is wishing you.

Shopping for t shirts.......

I was very much bored wearing my old t shirts so, decided to the buy some pretty cool coloured one's over the weekend. I find it hard to find one pretty decent t shirt. A thought which came to my mind after searching in almost all the brands was wish we had a option in the store to design the top by choosing our favourite fabric. I know this is just going to be a dream :).


Final, one was UCB. It's one on my favourite brand. It' just the pretty colours and the fabric entices me a lot. Finally, ended up buying 3 tops from the same brand.

Template hunt

It's been a very long time that I started template hunt. I have downloaded more that 50 and tried them all. Of them, few which I liked my friends didn't like. So, hunt went on for months together..Over the weekend I was just browsing and found some new templates.I tried the first one which is Enchanted-Creations and it's really copacetic.

After uploading I pinged one of my friend as asked him to check. He just loved it as the template background is his favourite colour. Finally, found a wonderful template for my blog:)

Perfume...........

Today morning I was very happy to try out my new perfume. After sticking to Escada, I haven't changed the brand. This made me to remember on of the incident, which happened during my college days.

We were 4 of us; always used to sit in the same bench never used to change our places not even the sequence. It so happened that someone in the class had put a perfume and it was so, strong that my nose was little itchy. (I remember even today; it was not mild but pretty strong one).

I didn't know it's was my friend who has put that perfume. I started commenting badly on that saying it smells like M's perfume. How someone can put such a strong one to class.

After the class was over she was glowering at me. She tapped on my shoulder and said “dear, I’m the one who has put that badly smelling strong perfume”. I didn't know how to react to her. Later, I told her the perfume is really strong n it’s not good :)

Lemonade that changed my voice...

I always love having the lemonade with lots of ice. Thought my doc has suggested me not to drink anything that is chilled, I can't resist myself after seeing that.  We had been to pizza hut over the weekend and I ordered lemonade along with some garlic bread and pizza. I forgot to specify that I want lemonade without ice and that though was complelty out of my mind.

After looking at the glass my sister glowered at me sister and said you're not going to have that. I told her not to worry nothing will happen. Next day, I had throat infection and my voice had changed.

Listening to that voice my friend's told me that, this voice suited me and it's sweet. I was very shocked listening to this. Few years back, I used to have the throat infection very oftenly but nobody told me about this!!!

Later a thought striked my mind was, are they trying to tell me my voice is not good?? huh :)

A smile that made us smile...

I went to my friend' desk and asked her whther she will come for coffee.  She said yes, and we went out. We sat outside the building watching people; I mean commenting on each of the passer by.

We saw a lot of people but no one even had a smile on their face. Everyone was looking little serious. We both were looking at all of them and giggling :)  and had a good time.

We saw a group of 4 guys passing by. One guy in that group was really little excited and was telling something to his friends. Looking at him, we both smiled thinking he is one like us …he he he

Early morning feeling...

I felt little lazy to get up in the morning but there was a small smile on my face as it was Friday!
Finally got up after three snoozes of the alarm. I felt like sitting in a cozy corner and reading P.S I Love You and no one’s notices me.

I smile a lot and cry a lot. At times, I do both at same time he he n confuse people.

 I hate being the centre of attention.

 I love babies. I can stare at them for hours and trouble them until they go and hide behind their Mom.

 It is easier for me to forget, than to forgive.


I love to go on a late night walk and love buying chocolate on the way back for me and my sister.

I cry while reading novels and watching movies, which I have overcome of late. Now, I'm reading PS I love you which is making my eyes wet every now and then.
 I love to collecting different shaped eraser and cartoon stickers. Currently, I have a mango, badam, screw driver, strawberry, penguin, bitter gourd.

I love to be more practical for my own good.
 I love buying gifts and flowers for myself.


At times, I love traveling in buses when I feel lonely and watch the different kind of people around.

My first task as a designer..........

My week started with such a boring note after my exams. I fought with too many people.
Monday: I fought with the bus conductor for not giving the stop in the right place.
Tuesday: fought with my brother.
Wednesday: With my cab driver as i missed my cab.

After reaching office, I really had no mood to work I was frustrated and worried what’s in store for next coming days of the week. I was disturbing my friends badly by pining in IM and by cribbing that I don't have mood to do anything.. Feeling damn bored...my same old lines he he he

Later in the afternoon pinged my friend and told her the same thing again.. I mean third time in an row.. he he eh. She told me I will give you one task to show ur creativity. I said ok without even thinking anything.

Later she shared me her credentials and said you do whatever you want with my blog. I was really so happy thinking that finally someone hired me as a designer.

After saying yes, I was just thinking which template to choose, which color..Too many thoughts were running in my mind. I had around 15 themes downloaded few days back, tried uploading many but not even one met my requirements.

Finally I got a theme “Momochi” which brown in color and my friend's favorite color too.. Hurray!! Since I dint had that theme I tired downloading but the site was blocked. :( So, logged into gmail and pinged one of my friend to download and asked her to send it across. Meanwhile i was trying to search for same theme in a different site. Finally found the same theme and downloaded. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!

Uploaded the theme and added few wonderful gadget and revamping of her blog was done. My first assignment as a designer was completed and butterflies were flying in my stomach as I was waiting for the response from her.

My plans for this Valentine's Day.......

One of my colleague came to my desk and asked me what are you doing this weekend? I said nothing much just a little bit of shopping. He said, why no big plans?? I asked him what so special about this weekend? He told check the date in calendra then i looked at my calendar, it's was still showing January (As i was on vacation for a week). Oh!! it's Feb 14th - Valentine's day!!


After looking at the date, I said no big plans again but this year I really have to plan something big huhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Make one of my new or my old friend feel special. After all, Valentine's day is all about making ur loved one's feel special.

I was back @ home at 5.00 after finishing my two exam papers and i feeling damn sleepy..Thought of sleeping for a while but i cudn't  then called up my friend and spoke him for a while...While i was talking to him i was giving him all reason why i dont want to study from my next papers which i have today.. :)

My sister wanted to buy some gifts to my niece as she is visting them sometime next week. She was in a toy store and called me to check what she can buy. I asked her to check for bugs bunny or Pooh or tweety and also asked her to get one for me..she started laughing, I said i'm
 serious and i want one.

After coming home i saw the toy. It was Pluto - the mickey's doggie which is my fav too..I said i want it. My sis said i have got it for Appi; you can buy one for urself.........Later, I hugged it and kept it back in her baggage..Very soon i'm going get Pluto home..... grin!!!

Gardening......

Last weekend one of my cousin had come home. She was telling a garderner had come home so, she got late. Then i remebered my college holidays and how me and Mom used to maintained a wonderful garden @ home(which is no longer there as we constructed a new house). I used to water them, get new plants from my friends house and plant them , waiting for the flower to blossom...

After moving to bangalore, I have not even bought a new plant or done gardening. My actual inspiration for gardening was one of my friend's mom. Once i had seen her doing repotting all by herself for her big garden which i had watched sitting for couples of hours. I really admire her even today and wish to maintain a garden like her. I hope to own a big garden space in future and do gardening all by myself..

Meanwhile,  I have changed the theme to BirdiesSecretGarden..

While we were on the way to MC donald's for lunch, I saw a Ad saying Rediscover Youself...

Thought which came to my mind was; We not able to discover ourself completely and understand what we are ..then how can we rediscover???

England make yet another great escape..

I'm not a great follower of the test matches, but this match might have grabbed the attention of all the people like me. It was one like a semi final world cup match...never seen a test match like this!!!

I started watching this match when Graham Onions, the Durham fast bowler and England No11 came to batting. He was later described as "a legend" by his captain, Andrew Strauss, after saving the third Test very much as he had done the first. History repeated itself with almost perfect symmetry when Onions came to the wicket with 17 deliveries remaining – it had been 19 when he was asked to save the series opener in Centurion last month.


He faced 11 balls and all of the last over bowled by a hostile Morne Morkel as England drew the match to retain their 1-0 lead in the series.

It was a wonderful match to watch and hard luck for South African's.

My sweet little niece...

I'm feeling bored to study now and had gone to sleep...but my sweet little niece whom i met in the weekend came to my mind. Well; how can i forget to write about this sweet little girl? 

Over the weekend she had come to my home with her granny. I had a wonderful time with her. She is just three year old, talks a lot but says all sensible things. I really wondered how can a three year old can talk so much :)

My sister was preparing smething and asked me to give her the raisins.When I gave her some raisins to eat she asked me why did u give this to me, what will happen if I eat? I said It taste good and you vl get strenght if you eat this. After tasting it, she really described the taste of it by making faces..she said its little sour and little sweet..I was really stunned!!!!

As she loves popcorn i was making it for her. She came to the kitchen and asked me why is it making sound? I explained her that it has to expand so, that it becomes a little soft and you can eat them..( Actually reason is somethings else http://www.nasa.gov/audience/forkids/home/popcorn.html) She said ok and asked me to stand away from that as popcorn was making too much of noise..I told her it vl not hurt she said no; it can hurt both aduts and kids. Listening to her i came away from it ..just allowing popcorn to pop somemore... :) After that she happily enjoyed her bowl full of popcorn.

Later, while leaving i presented her my barbie doll.. She was happy looking at it and kept it in her bag. (I know it's hard to give ur doll but anything for my little niece)..

Life............

I always love and indeed feel comfortable when I go for breakfast and lunch with people who are really close to me. Till today I never took a chance of going with people with whom I never enjoyed but today the circumstances were created such that i had to go. Finally i decided to go with my colleagues.

What I really loved in their company was no one actually questioned me why I joined them but indeed welcomed me as if I go with them regularly. Really loved and admired this!!!
We started laughing from the time we meet for lunch till we came back to our cubicles. It was really had a good time with them.

We discussed a lot of funny things like hw we spent our vacation, movies, actors, about kids, how actors look without makeup, their dressing, favorite actors, ads, many things. It was really fun.


Life throwing up situation which i have never faced but I’m loving it!!!!

Happy New Year - 2010

Lying on the floor @ home watching a movie is how I welcomed this year.(Really feels good being @ home.) Thought this is the right time to make some good resolutions and i had many to make but i cudnt even put one in my list, donno why??
Of late, I was watching a movie (by the by, i watched a lot of movies over this vacations time). There was a scene where a guy refused to marry a girl on the wedding day and there was tears in my eyes; then it striked my mind i shud really stop crying by watching movies..and for all the small things that happen to me - my first resoultion.
I know really hard for me to make it. some how someday i shud make it...so, why not today??


Apart from this, continue loving the my loved one's, admire many, learn many things, to make myself and others happy, enjoy every moment of the life and live life to the fullest.
